Finally, we got the zkSync airdrop. I’ve been very early on that one and started to use it when only Light has been around. Man, I’ve been so bullish on Era…

But when it went live, it was so boring. It even looked like it turned into a scam and rug eco. I were still using it for a while in hope that it’s going to mature. Unfortunately, it stayed boring and I stopped seriously using it and only did some smaller stuff here and there.

To my luck, it was enough activity to bring me a significant ZK airdrop. I guess it’s my overall karma haha.

ZK could be around the STRK valuation or slightly above in the beginning. $0.30-$0.40 would be a good price in a normal sentiment and $0.50+ when markets really turn bullish. Everything else depends on the overall market sentiment.

To be honest, I thought when the ZK token finally gets dropped, the L2 slowly dies afterwards. The reason for my thesis is that Era was mainly dominated by airdrop farmers and was drifting to oblivion. There wasn’t much coming from their side recently and only the speculation to the airdrop kept it alive.

Now I’m not so sure anymore. They played the airdrop very well. And even a lot of people complain, they gave a bunch of people a lot of money.

Nevertheless, I will dump 75% of my ZK drop immediately (if it isn’t traded below $0.30). The other 25% will go straight into an LP. The trading volume will be massive and gaining extra fees from that can be very lucrative. I deployed a good amount of ARB during that airdrop too.

DeFi Updates

L0 will also make an announcement this week. Here you can check if you’re on the sybil list.

Currently, you can earn good rewards with a zPT-LRT-ETH/ETH Uniswap LP. At the moment it’s around 200% APY.

But you have to be a little careful, since liquidity isn’t super high. However, the the prices of the z-Token and its counterpart shouldn’t move too far apart in theory.

TVL is also grinding up and sits around $100k. So it’s still small, but everyone gotta start somewhere.

Mantle’s new campaign for its LRT gov token is going to start on July 1st.

Yea I know, Mantle still isn’t too flashy like other L2s, but it’s one of the best ecos in my opinion. And with cmETH it’s adding even more value.

I can just repeat myself… their treasury is bigger than people can fade it.

Timeswap is going to expand to Berachain.

I want to bring some more education on LPs in the future because I think most people don’t really know how to use them.

Investing

The markets don’t really look super bullish right now. But this shouldn’t worry you! You’re here, because you believe in this. Otherwise you would have left a long time ago.

It’s just a little bumpy and as I said, the summer is going to be choppy. Keep going and do some Defi stuff or take a break and gain some focus for end of the year.

I couldn’t resist and bought more Pendle at $5.08. It doesn’t really matter if I buy at $4.50 or around $5 in the end. If we go deeper, I consider to buy even more.

And I also picked up some more RNDR, which is already my biggest holding in the AI category. I rather go with the big players here and sprinkle in some smaller ones like NMT.

I also dumped my whole NOT drop, for which I bought some mETH.

DeFi Plays:
I unstaked my MNT from the Mantle Rewards Station and lend it on Timeswap. The first days, it yielded above 500% and is down to ~100% (40% TIME, 60% MNT rewards). Time of sending this letter. It already dropped to ~47%, but still better than the reward station. It yields around 12-15% at current prices. The cool thing is that the Rewards Station still earns me xINTX since an average of the daily staked MNT is taken. Transition Price $1.70

I also lend some USDT (USDT/wMNT) on Timeswap as well, which makes around 80% (35% TIME, 46% MNT). TP: $0.65

And another Timeswap lending with USDC in the USDC/Pendle pool. Here I locked in a fixed 12% + TIME rewards. The TP is $4.

I moved HLP from HMX to the new Penpie (26/12/2024) pool.

Some of my funds found its way from Mode to Linea, where they work in a wBTC/wETH Uniswap pool. It earns ~78% APR (including Uni rewards) on Merkl.
